Next time you want to overtighten your vise, try a lever instead of a hammer. Hammers create an enormous force through impulse, which is why you're able to drive a nail into a piece of wood. Try doing that just by pressing on one.

For more leverage on your vise, put a piece of pipe on the handle and tighten it.

Sorry, that thing about the vise was kind of old news once I read through all of page 2.....

I'll bet that the gravity feed you got from elevating your tank didn't equal the pump pressure, which is why you had to readjust it.

That's a pretty cool kart. I'll be building a similar project later this summer out of a Honda ATC 200. You're giving me some ideas.

next time i will use a pipe, i can see why the hammer broke it.
i never thought about the gravity and how it would effect pressure, i guess that was my problem. If you need any help with your project let me know and ill help you out

I think i would have to "accidentally" swerve into their yard. And then floor it and do a nice burnout.:devil2:

they have fence all around their yard :furious2:

Wood or metal? If its wood, drive right thru. If its metal, go out there the night before and weaken it with a hacksaw, then drive thru. Or just get a nice container of weed killer(the type that kills grass) and chuck it over their fence. Or both:devil2:

Hey 280cc's is pretty powerful, you could attach a tow tongue and ball and hitch a small garden trailer to it, just a thought.

You know what, how about a light trailer, with a removable car seat? fun for two i reckon. go down to the wreckers and look for a seat that has 4 reasonably level mounts, (not one with one on that angle another on this angle..) and build from there... i reckon it would be choice for picking up crap round the house or anything really, and with a removable seat hey its fun when ya got a mate round, or even that special someone :p

I could draw ya up some pics if ya wanted, checked out the back end of the kart, hmm not too good for a tow hitch though, if i had some more pics maybe could help, and hey you know the old wooden school benches? they had hoops for legs - great for roll bars!

look forward to reply, cam.
