Sweet! if you are mounting the anchor points on the rollcage/pipes make sure to weld 4-6mm thick strips of steel where the bolt is going to go, if you wanted to make it stronger you could add crush pipes, pics?

update: added harness and moved my steering so that i can fit some pedals.

the original reason that i wanted to get a rack and pinion was because my steering setup was in the way of my feet, but since i rotated it 90* i have foot room so i don't need a rack and pinion anymore.

there wont be any pics for the next 5-10 days my cellphone is off getting fixed.
anyway im picking up the rack/pinion from the morris minor tomorrow, then i have to shorten it and then undo all he other work i did last week when i turned my steering 90*

got the rack today, the guy gave me the rack, steering column and steering wheel for $20NZD, got it from a Suzuki not a minor, started to shorten it. Now i just got to figure out how i can mount it to my frame. have guys guys got any ideas on how to mount it, don't have a camera ATM so i cant show you what i have to work with.

:censored: the rack doesn't have enough travel, its not all bad news i can replace the crap universal join that i have on my steering ATM a put in one of the one that came of the Suzuki's steering column. hopefully it will get rid of the play that i have in my steering. i should be able to use the rack in my next project.

How did it mount in the donor vehicle? Usually I see either a big bolt on each side of the main rack cylinder (gear housing), or half-circle brackets with bolts on each side that go over the top with bushings in the middle... Possibly just fab the mounts off that?
