Yeah, the warrior was never a speed demon. However it should go a bit faster than 60 in this mini bike in theory (which is sketch for any mini bike). I should also get a few more rpm's out of it cammed, ported, jetted and piped.
Update on the rev limiter issue:
I was troubleshooting and all the sudden the bike wouldn't run or start. Traced all the wiring, got diagrams, etc from the FSM and found all was well, but the power wires all had 200k ohms to ground
, so I unplugged the CDI connector and all the power wires went back to normal resistance. So I ordered a new CDI and a new coil (apparently if the coil resistance is too high it can hit the CDI with high voltage and fry it) so I figured it was worth a shot to replace it while I'm there.
I pulled the harness to check it, so I need to re-install it and try it all out. The parking brake rev limiter was disabled properly, so I am not sure what the issue is. Maybe it's just wrapping out REALLY fast? I'll order a tach from amazon and see what the actual rpm's are if it is still giving problems after the new CDI.
Kind of an odd problem, but getting all these parts used (unknown condition) and not having a wiring diagram when wiring it initially (could have fried something early on) doesn't help much.
I'll get it figured out soon! Also moving next week, and I am swamped at work lately, but I'm working on it in what little time I do have.
Also got the parts for the stage 4 212 powered drift trike build!
