Actually I expected and Angry Rant about how you cant get the new Chassis and they are terrible to do business with and You are just done and the Bike can sit in the yard and rot!!!

Well you asked!:lolgoku:

Geez thanks there buddy. I'm trying to be nice more often. I just get mad at myself for not thinking it through anyways. But this go around it will be finished.

Powdercoat guy said tomorrow morning at around 10ish. And the color is a deep green with pearl in it so it should be ultra sweet ! Stay tuned for more pics tomorrow night if I can get over there before he closes. :cornut::funnypost:

80 bucks is a good deal.
I sanded the primer to smooth it up real nice then hit the frame with another good coat. After it cured for a couple of days I sanded it down again. The primer coat looked really good at this point so I wiped it all down with a wet rag to clean off all of the dust. I bought an auto body tack cloth to wipe it down with before applying the color coats. Here is a pic of the paint products I am using. I bought the primer at Lowes, the gunmetal metallic at Auto Zone and the clear at Tractor Supply.

His also came out really nice, but sounds like 80 bucks too.

---------- Post added at 08:21 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:18 PM ----------

I picked a gun metal metallic color for the frame. The paint is in a smaller can so I bought 8 cans. This brand has a good spray nozzle that lays the paint on very nicely. I used a total of 3 coats and had zero runs in the paint. I sanded with a 1500 grit sanding pad in between coats and cleaned the dust off with a wet rag each time. The finished color coat turned out great. I was real happy with the finish. Probably the best painting I've done with a spray can. This is a pic of the final color coat. Next I will lightly sand before applying the clear coat.

This too added to his cost.

So I think you did well. Props to Kentucky though it was DIY,

Stupid bad luck............

Master cylinder leaked and screwed the powdercoat up from the handlebar to the back of the bottom of the frame.

And the sweet adapter I had made is making the engine sit crooked in the chassis.

But...............

I am using 420 chain and its forgiving and has some play. And the frame is not noticeable only the forks are so I will repowdercoat it after enjoying it.......... Like all winter and maybe all next year. Lol

But but.................

The block is clearanced and its welded and fixed. Also welded the low oil hole while I was there. All I need is the rotating assembly and he said later this week. So with any luck I will start it Friday night hopefully.

I'm like getting nothing but bad luck on the stupid thing.

My machine shop guy just called and said he's short handed and his help quit. So now we're looking at possibly a few weeks to balance the rotating assembly. Now I can't make my one race for the whole year that they have a pitbike class in.

If I woulda known this a week and a half ago I would have shipped it to nr racing and had it back in time. Now I'm screwed.

P.s. just venting I guess one bad thing happens it pours afterwards. If this thing doesn't run my projected mph it might just get cut up or crushed !

I just had a firm 3 hour chat with my mini me..............

**** or high water it's gonna be at this race in 2 weeks. And I will get a test hit in at the track before the race also. Even if it is the day before. Lol.

So stay tuned for some 1/8 mile passes............or 1/4 mile of I'm feeling froggy and its stable at 80mph or so. She's geared for 85@7500 so we shall see.

And it's officially in one piece again.................

We shall start it tomorrow for the first time. I did NOT balance the crank. A bunch of guys online said you don't have to. And some say you do. But to know obviously I gotta start it and try it first. My guy never did get to it. I did find somebody else local that will do it in 2 days tho for $125 if it needs it.

I thought I had a clearance issue still.......... But brain fart I put the rod in upside down. Lol. And a big side note the nr racing 306 cam fits with zero clearancing. It's really close but it fits without grounding a cam lobe.

So much for racing next weekend. The piston is out of the hole 20 thousandths. And I'm officially done forcing myself to try and make it. If it happens it happens at this point. It's the only race there is a pitbike race at my local track but oh well.

I understand , Joe.
every thousandths and/or hundredths make a difference.

For My example it comes to valve lash any-ways. Power!!

I dont know Your situation ..but mine is making money. Compare it to a multiple cylinder. They just don't know! lol. 7hp can get 60mph. its the TORQUE that matters'

Well never give up and you shall succeed. It's fixed with a good ole belt sander.

Needs some carb tuning but I think it might just be racing next Friday after all.

I have a 10sec. Run video but I'm not making a YouTube video for it. So you boys gonna have to wait. Hahaha

But here's after sanding the top lip off................
