2009 Baja Reaction with a 6.5 clone

Exactly I'm a mechanic and i hve never dealt with a bike engine in my life lol I deal with car engines and clones lol that's about is haha

lol same here. but if you can work on one, you can do the other. now transmissions scare the crap out of me

I havent touched bike engine until 6months ago. it was weird because it had everything together. like a whole powertrain in one box

ya lol i would have no idea how to set up a bike tranny lol now a car tranny is a different story

Bike engines are extremely simple to set up, just run a chain from the output sprocket to the axle, hook your clutch cable up to your choice of a lever or pedal, set the throttle up like any other engine, and make some shifter linkage.

Fixing them is also not too bad unless you need to press apart a crank. There a little scary at first but once you understand it you could rebuild one with your eyes closed.

well i already bought the 13 hp engine haha but ya maybe one day in my not so yound life i will make a new go kart and get a bike engine

Well once you get the 13hp and the a TC it'll be a lot better. That's a lot more power and especially torque over the stock engine. Also weight is what kills those kinds of buggies performance. A lot of them have a big shelf like thing on the back. I yours has it and you dont need it just cut it off if you want lol

lol well i can carry crap on the shelf thing and my gas tank is mounted on to it lol the stock gas tank is bigger than any of the clones engines haha so i think im gunna keep it

Yea id get the smallest driver before I go bigger on the axle. It eventually causes clearance probs. Mine does anyway. But if you cant find them heres a link to some bigger axle sprockets

my 60T barely clears my frame and i mean barely . . . when i rig y jackshaft im gunna have to grind the frame where my sprocket almost touches lol
