IMO the only thing better about the stock engine is they rev much higher and have a lot of mods.
Without a TC the 13hp clone will not feel like 13hp at all. If you want to made it check out affordablegokarts.com

well its not i have stock factory specs if you want them lol it isnt better than 13 hp by far

Then you obviously don't understand what I'm saying. The stock engine winds out higher, is probably lighter, and has a cvt stock.

The 13 horse clone is a low revving inustrial engine, that you plan to run with a centrifugal clutch. even if it is rated at a higher hp the stock engine will still be better. If you ran the 13 horse clone with a cvt then maybe it would be a fair fight.

Bike engine.

Whatever you say. Unless you run a cvt with this clone the stock engine will beat it. It may have more torque and horsepower but without a cvt it will be a dog. Plus how long will you be able to hold it at 5500rpms before it throws a rod.

Have fun replacing centrifugal clutches if you have any hills or like to stop and go much. Get a cvt (torque converter incase you didn't know) then it will be better than the stock engine.

I'm done arguing with you, it's your money and time, do as you like.

Ok since its idiot agains experianced person here ill make it clear for you..... since dante is a mod he wont bother with this to show you you are wrong and he is right.....

Ok the formula for torqe in ft lbs is T= HP(5252/rpm)
and for inch lbs is T=HP(63025/RPM)

with that in mind that 13 hp chinese clone will have 18.9655555 foot pounds of tourqe lets round that out to 17 because the "13 hp" clones are over rated and they acctualy arent 13 hp.....

Then the origional engine with 9 hp factory rated and the abillity to rev out to 6000+ stock would have 5.252 foot lbs of tourqe now ur thinking hehehe yeah mine kicks the oriigonals azz cause it got maajjoorozzzzz torqeszzzzz ehhehe...... well WRONG and ill explane that here

The clone ur gettin has a cent clutch that will burn up on the slightest hill unless you have it geared to go a snails pace.... while the origonal kart has a ctv so it can climb up a hill and have a variable gear ratio so when it gets goin up that hill it will keep goin and go faster and faster.... while your kart is on the bottom with the clutch red hot and you keep stalling your engine out.......

I also read your other post were you asked which one we ran and it seems you know more about a computer then a gokart or anything mechanical..... so your tryin to get your word against someone who custom built a kart moded another one with a freaking bike engine... has a modified lawn mower.. and also has two 440 jag powered snow mobiles and hes in the prossess of makin a mini bike... what all have you created with a engine on it? so ill belive dante over some new user who cant tell his *******from a hole in the ground..

W/e you wanna think dude I went up a 30 degree hill with a 6.5 clone with a 6:1 gear ratio and it did FINE so so much for you knowing what to do! I am considering on getting a torque converter if it can be set up on my go kart. If not I will just set up a centrifugal clutch

i highly doubt you happen to know the angle of a hill that you have no proof you "went up" and the hill could still be only 4 feet which is ****... my kart with a 6.5 subaru robin with a comet 20 serise with the gov yanked and me driving it i weigh 115 and the kart weighs a whopping 200 lbs dry the engine is another 40 lbs and throw 5 gallons of gass in there its over while i belive you said urs is 300 lbs... my kart would beat yor kart with that 13 and a cent clutch any day... my kart does 35 and still can climb a **** wood pile..

You should really listen to them. To give you an idea. My friend has a 5.5HP clone minibike with A TAV2. My other friend just got one with a 6.5 Clone and centrifugal clutch. The bikes are identical and my friends weigh about the same. They had a drag race. Even though the NEW bike has more power and is brand new with just some brake in miles, it LOST horribly. It had a surge of power and then it topped out. My other friend with the TAV2 kept pulling away until his maxed out at about 40mph in overdrive. He won by such a large margin I couldnt tell you how many bike lengths. We ride in groups, where 1 goes the other follows. He tried to keep the centrifugal clutch on that bike all summer but it burnt out the first 3 days trying to do what we can all do with our TAV2's. (and have done for 2 years).
But in the end just have fun..... that's really all that counts
