The Arizona(Jeep) came in today. Got her all striped down for paint, tedious little thing to disassemble. Now to decide on a color scheme. Thinking of doing a black hardtop.

New tires arrived today also. Put a set on the Patriot(Toyota). 62mm x 20mm. The stock tires measure roughly 55mm x 18mm. They fit nice, but I am going to have to trim the rear fender wells some. The front clears really well at full compression.

Love it!

...Now to decide on a color scheme. Thinking of doing a black hardtop.

Just look on the Jeep site for Wrangler Unlimited models and click on Build Your Wrangler then you can color and option-pick to get some paint ideas. I think some trim levels have body color fenders and some are black, and then the hardtop can be body color or black, etc etc.

The stock TERAZ tires (generic but hey it has a "brand name") are a pretty darn good copy of a real tire, the 'Goodyear Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar' tires; they even copied the sidewall design to a T. I like them but I also like the fully licensed Cooper Discoverer tires on the 1:18 Chevy K10 and EazyRC Glacier (generic Chevy K10). They can be bought separately for cheap.

I'm starting to babble now but if you look into the K10 you will find it is a little larger than 1:18 and the 1:18 Toyota Hilux is even larger, something like 1:14 I think, I measured it out once. Anyway someone out there on YT put the K10 and the Hilux side by side and they are basically the same size and length but in the real world the K10 is a full size American pickup with a long bed and the 'Yota Hilux is a much smaller compact mini truck. These FMS/EazyRC are all not 1:18, just close enough. . . . . .

The toyota has the same tires I run, work great in the real world, not so good for indoor tracks with lots of Paper Mache and synthetic stuff

The Fire Horse showed up today. Got the Arizona primed and interior of the shell satin black. Built a little obstacle from some scrap wood and sticks from my fire pit tinder pile. Just nailed everything together with 18gauge braid nailer. Had a few bourbons and got bored last night. 🤣

Started building a sectional indoor coarse. Can't believe how relaxing and fun this is. Removed and replaced my driveway and patio this weekend. Talk about stress! Lol. Anywho, here are some pics of the progress.

Where did you get the styrofoam sheet in pics #6 and #7?

I need some of that for a project.

Hell yes! Looks awesome. I haven't made much progress on my coarse, but I have been busy upgrading and learning the capabilities of mine the last week. I have so many questions, and such little avenues for help with some of these. Lol.
