a 4" pulley goes pretty good with my 14 horse soit should be fine with your 10

I have to admit I had to change that ratio because the belt was slipping to much so I changed the rear gear to 4".

Hey there, me and my friend made a racing lawn mower about a year ago and they fly. We didn't lower the frame at all but we did lower the seat and moved the gas tank to the front. we also added a rad fan from a civic because we noticed it over heated a bit. And thank the lord for JB weld.

Its not that difficult to put the shift forks back in. all you need to do is open the crank case and take apart the gears and put the forks back in. I've done it before and it would only take you a good hour or two with a partner. its also a big help if you print off the manual for the engine...

A torque wrench is one of the most essential tools for engine work, and it can save you a whole crap load of trouble. trust me I know from experience.
