I have a pair of adjustable shocks that I was cleaning and I am in the process of changing the oil but I don't know what kind of oil I should use. any suggestions.

I think 30 WT. That's what I heard, but I don't know if that is right for those kind of shocks. As for the brand I know that doesn't matter.

Depends on the shocks, and the desired damping rate. Quite often, you can use different viscosities to alter the damping properties. It would probably help if you knew the manufacturer/model info. I have heard that some shocks require a silicone oil or other special fluid, as standard oil would foul up the seals.

I dont know the brand. Its off of a chinese quad so i don't think they are too concerned about special oils.

Well, then- all I can say is load up with whatever you like, and if you're not happy with the damping, change viscosities. Thicker oil=more damping, thinner oil=less.
