I have a 30 series clutch set up for sale. Everything is there but it needs a new brass bushing for the driver and the driven is missing the inside flat surface the belt rides against (not sure what that is called) It will all fit in a medium flat rate box which cost 10.95 to mail. $75.00 obo

For 1 how do you move the spring position on a comet 30 driven clutch. 2 which spot keeps it in low gear longer? I am looking to get a little better take off. with out regearing anything. What i have now is a 6.5 clone with a 6.1 ratio and 22" tires. I have a comet 30 tc on it as well. Thanks

i bought a 6.5hp from them about 6 weeks ago. So far so good.....we have put about 6 tanks of gas thru it with zero issues. These guys are located about 30 miles from me so i went right to them to pick it up. I would highly recommend them.

i would change the 28t down to like a 20. that should get you to about 27mph

That would be a 8.4 ratio. You will never hit 20 on it besides going down hill with a stiff breeze to your back. But it will have some good low end. Personally i would like it if it is used in a yard or on trails in the woods.

so it wouldn't be any easier on the cent clutch to go up to a higher ratio like 10:1?

Okay i replaced a centifical clutch on a cart i bought and it got hot fast. I assume over loaded due to the cart size. It has a 10 tooth cent clutch with a 54 tooth axle sprocket. Here is my thought to solve the ratio problem. It has a jack shaft on it since it probably had a torque converter...

How large of a driven sprocket would i need for it to work okay? What ratio would make it better?
