in theory, how fast will i go with a 7.2 ratio?

i got a 7.2 ratio and im wondering on average how fast am i gonna go???

specs:

6.5 hf engine at 3600rpm

#40 chain

15in tires at rear, 13in at front

250 - 300 lb kart.

im about 180lb.


and if you need this info
10t clutch to a 24t then from 12t to a 36t axle.

In theory you could go 22mph.
However your tyres may be slightly larger/ smaller, your engine may rev slightly lower/ higher and you have friction losses from tyre slip etc.
I would estimate 19mph.

I have the exact same question too. How fast will it go if my go kart had:

-18" rear tires
-6.5 HF engine @ 3600
-6:1 ratio 60 t on the rear and 10 on the clutch

If you have a look at THIS page, you will see that you will get up to about 32MPH, but realistically a bit less.
