Is this J/S gearing good???

ok my go kart came stock with a jackshaft and im planning to use the same number of teeth on my new motor mount/ jackshaft set up.

the gears are 10t clutch to 28t sprocket then from 12t to 36t on axle.

what gears should i keep or change??? thanks for suggestions


6.5 hf engine at max 3600rpm

15" wheels

#40 chain

That would be a 8.4 ratio. You will never hit 20 on it besides going down hill with a stiff breeze to your back. But it will have some good low end. Personally i would like it if it is used in a yard or on trails in the woods.

im usually gonna go on alleys, small hills and just ride on mid-terrain. what gear should i change so i can go faster without effecting power too much???

Jeez oh man. Lay off the threads all about the same thing here. I understand that you want a fix quickly, but you asked the same thing twice now.
