    600W 36V DC Motors

bumped. Someone wanting a small and powerful 4wd go-kart should buy these from me. Put one on each hub and gear it to whatever speed you would like. 600W x 4 would be plenty of power and torque for a small go-kart. 450 bucks + shipping for all 8. (thats only 56.25 each....) They would...

    600W 36V DC Motors

showing two different shaft lengths: (4 of each currently available) 450 bucks for all 8 225 for a set of 4 possibly 70 dollars each. (again, I'd rather sell 'em as a set) Thanks for looking.

    600W 36V DC Motors

Just wanted to point out that using 4 DC motors does not mean you need to have 4 motor-controllers. You can actually just use one motor-controller (one that can supply enough Amps to all 4 motors) and then run the 4 motors in parallel to the controller. This results in ultimate traction: the...

    600W 36V DC Motors

I ordered 4 of these motors from the Chinese manufacturer. They sent me the wrong shaft-length and ended up sending me 4 more replacements. I paid a boatload of money to have them shipped here. And was forced to wait 4 months to get them! Needless to say I went with another motor manufacturer...

    REVERSE gear box Questions.

Yeah, thats a good idea, but I dont think I will be able to pull that one off... mainly because I am planning on using the Nuvinci CVT hub as a transmission and that thing freewheels in one direction.

    REVERSE gear box Questions.

I'm building a human powered go cart (pedal power) and wanted a reverse. I found these two options: The first and what seems to be the most popular way: "COMET GEARBOX": http://www.mfgsupply.com/m/c/218390A.html GY6 Reverse Gearbox...

    Reverse Trike - Mini T-Rex

any chance you could throw some "perspective" into the model? usually there is a button or checkbox for using perspective. because right now I think it looks a little strange and that may just be the lack of perspective.

    LONGEVITY TIG welder

it's a good rule of thumb that if a descriptive word is in the title it is junk. "longevity = crap" "quality = crap" "worlds greatest = crap"... think about it. If you have to place a quality attribute in the name of the product itself it must be pretty darn aweful. Save you money and buy a...

    What welder will work?

thats strange a welder is advertised like that, typically they are advertised w/ their highest Amperage output. (180, 200, 250, ect.) look up that model, if it doesnt max out at at least 150 amps I wouldn't get it.

    wat should i make

there is no shame in building from plans... if anything it is often the smart/safe decision. A lot of the R&D is done before you even start construction if you go off someones plans... if you use your own plans expect to pay 2X as much. and thats no joke, R&D is expensive, so unless you think...

    What welder will work?

50 Amps??? i dont know much about stick welders but I do know about Tig and Mig, and 50 amps for a tig machine is enough to weld .050" thick steel, which I dont think is thick enough for frame welding. if you are new to welding I would suggest you take it to a pro or take the time to learn...

    Solid rear axle suspension idea.

just keep in mind that 100% = bumby ride and greater forces on your links. (when under power) there is a nice Pirate4x4 topic about antisquat... and basically the top guys agree that the desert-racers like baja 1000 trucks typically have close to 0%. and i would think that your cart will be more...

    Solid rear axle suspension idea.

there is a wealth of info on 4-link suspensions. If thats what you are going with I'd suggest you read these 4 articles and also download the link-calulator... the important thing would be your anti-squat... having 100% means your links will keep the cart from "sqating" under acceleration, but...

    Bike chain

https://www.surpluscenter.com/item.asp?UID=2348021812225278&item=1-1163-40&catname=powerTrans apparently I was wrong and its only 14 bucks from Surplus Center. But it doesn't give that much info abot the chain...

    Bike chain

i thought bike chain was ANSI standard #40... which is also what a lot of carts use. I've noticed that bike chains tend to be much more expensive than kart chains (#40). So if anything this tells me that a bike chain could be stronger and/or lighter in weight. Maybe I'm just looking at the...

    (Front)Trailing-Arm Suspension questions...

This is more what I was picturing: If you can move something like that w/ pedal power, then something a fraction of the size should be as big a deal. I mean, just look at those things, they are monsters! haha
