    GX390 cart. Need some ideas

They are 1/8" if they bend I'll make heavier ones. There's almost no weight on this cart and it is for kids, I can't even fit in it. I can Tig a couple gussets in after if I see distortion. Have guys had failure there with 1/8"? ---------- Post added at 10:25 PM ---------- Previous post was at...

    GX390 cart. Need some ideas

I'll figure out how to resize the pics, they look fine to me on my phone I had no idea they were huge. Yes wrong belt. It's not hard to pull the jackshft to change the belt, I can't move it up. Hits the engine, back hits my frame. Hindsight I should have waited for the parts before I welded the...

How much room is needed for belt clearance? It's close, 3/8" from the pulley to the frame. [/URL [URL=http://s1084.photobucket.com/user/Jason_DeLeeuw/media/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zps8x4ormrk.jpeg.html] Keep in mind that's the wrong belt. Critique please

No room for a middle one, hits the engine base, or I cut the frame and lengthen it. You can imagine how excited I am about that route. Do they make s more compact pillow block?

    GX390 cart. Need some ideas

Ok, so I got my 40 series clutch, not sure it's a comet though. Looks like a Chinese knock off. Anyways it was larger than I thought so I need to rethink the jack shaft. I'll add a couple pics, of a mock up. Will this work by putting the sprockets on the left side of the kart?

    GX390 cart. Need some ideas

I made my own last night from the layout in that 420 manual. So it's bolted on right now with zero play, one I get the axle I'll square it up. I squared the jack shaft to the front spindle support( just measured back on each side) and I think I'll keep using that as a reference point. I don't...

No suspension. Yeah just around the yard, kid use. Still want it fast and torquey and I want it to steer well. I ordered the axle and steering parts from BMI, just waiting for those. I'm going to get the motor plate in tonight and the alum for the back of the seat frame done. Have to admit I'm...
