Very cool kart you have in the works! Does the 40 series not come with the plate to mount everything to like a 30? I am somewhat confused on that aspect.

Generally no, it doesn't come with a backing plate. The only place i know that does sell ones with a plate is Gopowersports.

Otherwise you just mount the driven on a jackshaft at the correct distance from the driver for the belt that you have. There are specific distances for specific belts

C'mon guys y'all gotta READ the posts! Go back and look...."that's the wrong belt"....but it could work with a little effort.

EDIT: I realize it's hard to read the fine print with HUGE pics.

I also noticed your brake Caliper. I just got mine today. But I also bought the Mount bracket.
It is made to be "floating". Or you leave the Rotor Floating. (Keyway only no set screw.)
Does that make sense, or did you already know this?

I'll figure out how to resize the pics, they look fine to me on my phone I had no idea they were huge. Yes wrong belt. It's not hard to pull the jackshft to change the belt, I can't move it up. Hits the engine, back hits my frame. Hindsight I should have waited for the parts before I welded the back hoop on the frame. But it will be short and tidy this way. Is 3/8" enough with the right belt for clearance? Good tip on the floating caliper as I had overlooked that, I'll build an appropriate mount! Thanks guys

Well...I can't see the forest for the trees with the big closeup pics....but I would think you CAN move it back and up...even if its behind the hoop and well above it.

But I would need a better view of the whole setup to tell.

Generally speaking: if you get 3 like minds on this forum....odds are good we're right.

Go Advanced>Manage Attachments. Browse to your pics.

On Photobucket you can do it while looking at the pic, in the edit menu.

Am I the only one that gets confused when Jrgunn5150 and gman3850 are both involved?
Maybe my internet dyslexia?

gunn5150
gman3850 ?

Education in this country has taught me to skim for very specific information when reading. If I ever read fiction, most characters mostly remain a blob of letters that start with a specific letter.

That "A" guy did what?

Sorry,:backtotopic:
