The bracket isn't welded at all yet. And denting it enough to let the bottom nut/bolt sit properly then weld, right?

So a little problem shown in the photo. The bracket's bottom slot for the nut/bolt is clashing with the frame. Is the bracket supposed to sit on top of the frame, or am I supposed to drill into the frame or what?

Just another question, going full speed and then sharp turning, with the lightweight of the gokart, is there a chance of flipping? (Sorry about the hollywood-like question)

So driving a go kart, was unimpressed with myself at the fact I kept sliding out. It just rained and we had dry tires which could've been a factor but I think hitting the brakes too much are a problem. When doing turns - hairpins and whatnot - do you brake or let go of the accelerator?

So there wouldn't be any major weight difference or anything that'll cause a problem?

So I have a framework and all ready, however with some welders the question rose of does it matter if the frameworks made out of round tubing or square galvanised steel?

I might just start small with a kart or something then move upto a buggy, especially Sidewinder. Building them from scratch take time due to the extended chassis. A shifter or a standard kart would be sufficient to begin with and a beginner experience.

Yeah I just had a talk with them and they put their life on it that the frame wouldn't cost over a grand hahaha. Yeah, looking at a sidewinder frame atm. We can build the main frame without all the brakes, wheels, engine anyway so it gives us time to expand our views.

Yeah though I'm not having any luck with finding any well-treated pit bikes that are over 200cc, found nice 150cc and such, but don't know if that'll be enough for a small buggy. It will be good for karts though, right? This is just a first project and a kart will be more than satisfying for me.
