    Idles too high?

Did it try to take off before? If not, depending on how your throttle is setup you might have increased the tension on the cable which caused the throttle to be held partially open. If it did try to take off before, your idle adjustment could be set have been moved(probably not though because...

    Help with go kart

Happened to me once. What had happened was the cent. clutch's inner part had stripped it's key for the shaft.

    Clearance a Rod?

I mostly just interested in it. Also I'm waiting a new clutch so I need an excuse to open my engine back up and keep away the boredom! Thanks for that info! Here's a really helpful link I found too, if anyone else is interested: http://underthehood.mahleclevite.com/?p=618

    Clearance a Rod?

Is a hone needed or is some fine grit sandpaper usable?

    Clearance a Rod?

How does one clearance a connecting rod? I've seen some talk over at 4cycle about clearance on a predator 212 rod being too tight and seizing up at high rpm. The consensus seems to be that the ideal clearance between the rod and crank is. 0025.

    Chain and Sprocket Troubles

Yes I did. Figured it would ok for now because the valve train has never been messed with. On a scale of 1-10, how bad did I screw up? I'll put in a master link then.

    Chain and Sprocket Troubles

If the compression release is the mechanism with the springs on the cam then this cam did have it. I put the cam in myself. Slid the old one out and put the new in. Everything cleared. I've started it a few times and you're right it did get easier. I'll check the valve lash once I get a set of...

    Chain and Sprocket Troubles

That's thing. My chain doesn't have a master link. Guess I'm going to have to get a chain breaker?

    Chain and Sprocket Troubles

So I made a few changes to my cart. The one that is giving me trouble is switching from a 64t to 54t sprocket. I did not think it through but when I put it on the chain is now too long. Well I got around that problem by using an idler pulley that's on my kart. Problem is this pulley has a loose...

    Opinions on Using Bike Motor?

The frame says Murray on it, but I'm not sure of the model number. Nodroz, which engine did you use?

    Opinions on Using Bike Motor?

What's a better bike motor for the frame then(something with a transmission)? Oh and it has a roll cage now if that matters.

    Opinions on Using Bike Motor?

Well I dunno about this then. I don't wanna get in over my head with no way out. I think I could do it, but money is the thing holding me back. This teenager is broke. Yeah, that picture is an old one when I first got started. Tires, kill switch, clutch, etc. have all been updated and added.

    Opinions on Using Bike Motor?

Figured as much. I've been doing a little bit of research and 77hp is a lot for a go kart. I'm guessing strengthening the frame involves a lot of welding?

    Opinions on Using Bike Motor?

Well I just saw a CL ad for a '80 CB750K motor(and bike if I want it). I want to put it on the frame below. Is there anything I need to know beforehand(a guide to hooking it up if there is one)? Any warnings? I've contacted the guy and he says that he bought it as a parts bike(off the frame)...

$125 to Spend on Pred Upgrades

Will BSP header pipes work on a Predator? ETA:http://www.nrracing.com/product-p/dyno-cl1-112.htm Found this cam. Is this cam designed for 6000rpm and above or 6000rpm max?

$125 to Spend on Pred Upgrades

I still care for the motor. I don't abuse it just use it. So on the list is air intake and exhaust.

$125 to Spend on Pred Upgrades

A bike engine requires fab work to get it mounted and all sorted out right? I'm using a Murray yard kart so I didn't think this would be a possibility. I would love to have a shifter kart, but alas...I cannot weld or machine parts. I could be careful with it, but hey where's the fun in that...
