How does one clearance a connecting rod? I've seen some talk over at 4cycle about clearance on a predator 212 rod being too tight and seizing up at high rpm. The consensus seems to be that the ideal clearance between the rod and crank is. 0025.

Nope

U buy that plastiguage
U break off a little bit
U place it across the big end bearing
U torque the main cap back up

Remove the main cap
Use the measuring gauge on the packaging to measure the width of the plastiguage
That measurement is the oil clearance

Why are u doing this?
Do u suspect issues or did u just do a rebuild?
Or are u just interested?

That's good info

Good to note
Make sure u don't put the plastiguage over the oil journal
That will end really bad

And u will need the appropriate sized plastiguage
That stuff Fabroman put up isn't quite right

U need something that ranges each side of your spec

The plastigauge is a good, accepted method of checking clearance, but to actually adjust the clearance, bring your wallet to a machine shop. You're not going to do it with sandpaper if you like your engine.
