the engine runs ,its just running alil rough probably needs a tune up and a good cleaning still havent found any place to get oem parts for them but im planning on restoring both of the karts so ill let you know where i end up getting the parts i need for the other one now that i have one...

I traded a ps3 for a yerf dog a couple of months ago and in the process the guy ended up throwing in a murry kilowatt that was missing a few parts,ive started trying to restore it and have been on the look out for the parts im missing and ended up finding another kilowatt on cl the guy wanted...

yea ive been googling and searching the forum to find everything I can about these karts.I ran across that site but I must have over looked that it said oem murry lawnmower and go kart parts ,i just saw where it said lawnmower parts ,ill have to give them a call and give them the part numbers...

I still havent found anywhere to get replacement parts for these karts yet.Im still kinda new to the whole karting scene ,trying to get as much info and tips myself but theres alot of good info on the forum and alot of good people willing to help . Hopefully I will be able to buy the other...

k thanks Beansdaddy78 the one thats in the link is a murry harddrive but thanks anyway ,ive down loaded the manual for the kilowatt but it just has a part number no specs on the jackshaft which does me no good considering no one has oem parts for murry carts anymore ,

i have a murry kilowatt thats missing the jackshaft.I measured the jackshaft tube its 10 13/16" ,could anyone tell me what the length of the original jackshaft is?

alright thanks ,let me know what it ends up running when you find out .I talked him down to 100 so i am planing on picking it up in a week or two and hopefully have everything ordered for it a couple days later

Jonboy whats your gearing set up,how many teeth on clutch ,jackshaft and sprocket ,and how fast do you think yours will go?

I talked to the guy this morning ,told him i didnt wanna pay that much for it so now he is down to 100 ,im gonna try to get it for 75,the motor is a greyhound from hf wat do yall think the motors worth ?he said its brand new still un the box

he said it has a band brake and does work and i think its just a pulley,i forgot to put this in the first post he said that the front end was connected by a bolt on the very front of the frame which allow the front to move separate from the frame i have never seen one with a set up like that,so...

I was talking with a guy i work with the other day about the 2 karts i have and he told me he has one he bought in dallas a few years back .He said the left front hub is broken but he has 2 new hubs for it .It didnt have a engine on it when he bought it so he went and bought another engine but...

Can anyone show me wat jackshaft set up they used on thier murry kilowatt?since im missing most of the original pieces to it im planning on ditching the oem engine plate.

K thanks for the help ,ive almost got the kilowatt completely stripped down and ready for paint ,but ive still got to figure out how im going to mount the engine plate cause the oem plates missing the jackshaft.

K thanks for the heads up,If I run a 6hp with tc and the right sprocket do you think it will be enough for trail riding and some light mudding ,ive already got a briggs 206 on the red one if itll work then ill probably buy 212 predator from harbor frieght if not ill sell the 206 to get something...

K I was looking at some tc on ebay but dont know if there any good or would yall recommend to buy them from another site,im planning on putting an 8hp on both of them but not sure yet I might just stick with a 6hp.
