I traded a ps3 for a yerf dog a couple of months ago and in the process the guy ended up throwing in a murry kilowatt that was missing a few parts, ive started trying to restore it and have been on the look out for the parts im missing and ended up finding another kilowatt on cl the guy wanted 200 for it so i went and looked at it tonight and end up talking him down to 130,its not in the best shape but seemed like a good deal, heres some pics of it tell me what you guys think.

also i noticed the belt was alil bit frayed thinkin it could be because of the rust on the tc or could be due to incorrect belt.

Where did he keep it, in the river? :roflol:

Yeah, there's a bit of rust throughout but still a good score & nothing a wire wheel & a bit of work won't fix

Should we assume the engine runs?

That belt doesn't look right (but I could be wrong), it doesn't look wide enough

let me know if you find a kilowatt part hookup or if you end up with some extra parts you wanna sell. i have a kilowatt that i picked up a couple weeks ago so im on the lookout for a few things also. i like these kilowatts, ive never had the chance to drive one yet but hope to soon, i have gears on the way and about to order a 1" hub for the sprockets.

i plan to go back to the stock torque converter setup but seeing i can switch it over to a centrifagul clutch and ride it a bit until i can afford the part i need for my torque converter and can reinstall that.

still havent found any place to get oem parts for them but im planning on restoring both of the karts so ill let you know where i end up getting the parts i need for the other one now that i have one thats not missing anything ill have something to go off of when looking for my other parts .

wouldnt it be a good idea to replace the TC?

im not sure hopefully i can get rid of the rust and clean them up enough to reuse them ,Fabroman or landuse, can either one of you guys tell by the pic if the tc will be ok to reuse if clean up real good? i know the tc say max torque on the driven and has for little holes on it that are labled 1234 but i dont know much about tc can you guys tell me which one i have?

You have a MaxTorque. To my knowledge, maxTorque only had one model, which is directly compatible with one particular Comet- but I cant remember which one. I think the Comet 30.

That is most definitely the wrong belt- throw it away, don't even bother trying it out.

With a good and thorough cleaning, I'm sure it will be saveable.
