Ah yes, that has the look of a pressed on Master Link that was pressed on too far. If the rest of that chain looks good, I would get the chain tool and pull that link plate out a bit. Or just replace it?

That would actually be a good thing for the OP to check. Does the drive pulley movable sheave have a big enough center hole to slide over that bearing? If so, then the CVT might be some China concoction and require a special size belt.

Doing some guessing here. I zoomed on img 0514 and noticed a couple things. There is a mile of side gap between the drive sheaves and belt. And quite a gap along the in side of the belt within the pulley So I think that the belt isn't any where near its proper disengaged position in the drive. I...
