i'm gonna try to use the magnet in the flywheel first. if its doubling the reading then i can change the jumper so it reads two pulses per revolution. i'm not sure how that will work though since it will be two pulses very close together and not evenly spaced. i have a lock collar on the inside...

not a rotary ignition, a rotary valve. those rotax motors are bad *** power wise but need to be freshened up alot. we used to race mini sprints with 125 suzuki motors, one of the competitors ran rotax motors and had one in the car, one on the trailer and one in the shop being freshened and...

it all seems about right in theory. yes tightening the rockers down takes up the slack left by removing base circle diameter. i'm not familiar with those motors though. don't get any metal bits in there. i'd like to try that but my four strokes are flatheads so valve adjustment means new parts.

that will be nice to have around. i had a lawn tractor tire that just wouldn't catch the bead, couldnt find a ratchet strap so i threw a couple black cat firecrackers in it and it worked! not sure it would be too good for a high speed tire with paper bits in it.
