    Taming a Doodlebug!

Hello all! So I have a Baja Doodlebug that I acquired last summer. The engine on it was a predator 212 with a bunch of upgrades. I actually pulled that off and dropped it on my go kart, took the go kart engine (Tecumseh 6hp) and dropped it on the bike with a torque converter. It's just to...

What is this part for? (TC Related)

Yeah, that makes sense, but even the original TAV 30 prints and diagrams don't have that part called out or specified. Just a simple flat washer. Just wondering if it is to help with shorter shaft engines or when you use the backing plate with jackshaft setups (where the back plate is mounted...

What is this part for? (TC Related)

Thanks for the insight! Just to explain why I am asking all this... I acquired a mini bike with a predator 212 decked out with a performance kit. Also running a centrifugal clutch. I have a yerf dog go-kart with tecumseh and torque converter. I felt like the predator was a little too much...

What is this part for? (TC Related)

Ok. That makes sense and was kind of what I was thinking. So now the question is, if you already have a good amount of the crankshaft to place the driver on, there would be no need for that piece or extra stabilization, and this is why the Tecumseh (with much longer crankshaft) doesn't have...

What is this part for? (TC Related)

Hi guys, been awhile since I have posted but I'm back with another weird question. In 30 series torque converter kits...what is this part?: Was actually installing a torque converter on a predator engine. I have a tecumseh with a TC that doesn't have anything like this. Obviously it's some...

    Clubs/Races/Anything near NE Ohio?

Awesome! I actually just bought a torque converter belt from them and have been eyeballing many other things. Unfortunately that looks like it is just for typical racing karts.

    Clubs/Races/Anything near NE Ohio?

Hi again! So I was watching some video of the Gambler 500 Minibike Enduro and sort of got lost thinking about how much fun it would be to participate in something ridiculous and fun like that. Is there anything like that that goes on near me in Northeast Ohio? Not necessarily a minibike...

    TC Belt Advice

Ok. Since the measurement was at the max of that range I was a bit concerned. Thank you very much. I will be sure to post here how I managed to get the reverse box mounted once I confirm that everything is solid!

    TC Belt Advice

Hello all! So I just finished up installing a FNR box on my kart and my center to center distance from driver to driven pulley has changed to 7-3/8". I have a 7" driven pulley. The original belt was a 203591. The obvious choice now seems like it might be 203592. The center to center...

I believe it is 8? What I was told anyway. Going to look at it today.

    Tecumseh OHH60 replacement suggestions

My father in law is giving me the briggs off of a wood chipper that has probably been used only a handful of times and starts on the first pull. Pretty sure it will be ok for awhile. :)

    Tecumseh OHH60 replacement suggestions

I'm leaning towards going with this free briggs engine. I mean, it's free! Still don't have details on it. Need to go take a look soon. Looks like a lot of briggs engines may come stock with ring gears which would of course be good for adding a starter. Also seem to be some after market...

    Tecumseh OHH60 replacement suggestions

Right on dude! Appreciate the suggestion! Sorry if I seemed like a turd in my response. A year ago when I first got this kart I would have snatched that right up. Unfortunately, the location I had available to take advantage of power like that is no longer available.

    Tecumseh OHH60 replacement suggestions

As I said, I don't need or want speed. I only have a small area that is actually open but a ton of woods to explore and have fun climbing around. That kind of speed on a trail will get you stuck in a briar patch at which point I bet you would want that reverse. :) Kidding of course, but...

    Tecumseh OHH60 replacement suggestions

Thanks for the input guys! Hope to hear from some more people. I actually can get a 7hp briggs for free from my father in law which I've been considering. I would have to get an electric start kit as well for this which I need to get a specific model number on and take a closer look to see if...

    Tecumseh OHH60 replacement suggestions

Hello all! Been a minute since I posted here and was considering some upgrades to the go kart for this spring/summer. Have a yerf dog 3202 with Tecumseh OHH60 6.5hp engine with TAV30 torque converter. Would like to upgrade the engine to something with electric start. Doesn't have to be a...

    Kill switch wiring.

UPDATE: So it turns out there was an unseen short or break somewhere in the black wire. It was testing ok on the multi-meter but it may have been bent just right to complete the connection while testing. So that's annoying... Anyways, long story short (no pun intended), snagged some...

    Kill switch wiring.

I know for sure the green wire to the bolt on block will kill the engine. I've tried every combination of things now. The green wire to black wire makes the most sense but it didn't seem to work. So either a.) I didn't insulate well enough or b.) have a bad switch. Thanks again for the help...

    Kill switch wiring.

Thank you guys for the feedback so far. It is a tecumseh ohh60 engine. bob58o: The engine starts no problem when the green wire is isolated. Actually, I don't know how I have been so lucky thus far. That green wire has been dangling around back there since I picked up the kart. I DID...

    Kill switch wiring.

So first of all...apologies. Searching this topic here brings up results but most lead to the idea of wiring the kill switch wire directly to the factory kill switch wiring. While this is a reasonable solution, I feel like there should be a way the manufacturer (Yerf-Dog) intended this to be...
