Me and a friend picked up a 120k mile long block 305 chevy motor for $75 from CL. Called the guy and picked it up the same day in teh minivan.

Cell died due to vibration.

How would you seal the bead with the redneck method? Tire even on the rim, spray one side all around with carbcleaner/lighter fluid (spray some inside or no?), and light?

Oh, I thought series-wound generally meant an AC/DC motor lol. I'm using the electromagnetic clutch for regen purposes :) I can modify that shaft... somehow :P What would you recommend modifying/replacing to keep this safe for my uses? :) Thanks!

So in theory I could run AC power on it?! I plan on running a jackshaft-like apparatus, with an electromagnetic clutch :)

Have had 2 tec. mowers... one from 2000, one since 2008. Both metal carb'd. Ran terrific... never drained the gas from the bowl, would sit for 4-6 months at a time.

OHAY :D I'm trying to do similar with my old go kart. Convert it to E. Got myself a tiny forklift motor though. If I may ask, what modifications did you do? If anything, I'm most worried about that cast aluminum "flywheel" on mine that cools the armature. I'm afraid that it'll fly apart :\

Did you seal the bead yourself or have it professionally done? o.o

Replace steel liner with like teflon tube, and add a barb to the nozzle lol. Switch polarity to DCEP and have fun :O
