Everyday machine shops? I'm talking about actual high dollar diamond hones made for REAL honing. Not your spring loaded paddle hones. "REAL" hones will keep your bore straight while "boring" it out a tad. People hone out half of .010 on a daily basis for boring... get it close, hone the rest.
For .010 oversize or so, yes, you could hone it. Anymore and you'd need some boring heads.

You kidding? Gas shielded FCAW bad looking?! Gosh, the slag comes off in one big piece and it welds terrific. I need to take a couple photos for you guys next week at school ;)
