Thanks for checking in! I haven’t really had much time to work on the project between school finals and the holidays but just last night, I finally finished rebuilding the new engine now that I have all the pieces. I’m spending this entire day battening down the hatches for the massive storm...

And once I get it where should I apply it?

I’m starting to gather everything I need to restart the build. Assembly lube and new rod Bearings are on their way. Could you tell me more about why and how to use auto trans fluid?

Will this stuff work as assembly lube? Don’t worry, I won’t use it if you guys don’t give it the go ahead. A family member had a lying around and someone suggested that I might be able to use it for that purpose

If the crank is fine would that mean that with a good cleaning/assembly/break in I could use the same engine?

Also, are you sure about the breaking oil being necessary seeing as it was most likely an error on my part?

First off, I do have an ARC rod. Stock length. Second off, I did make sure to tilt it all around to get as much oil in the important spot as I could. Maybe just not enough. Third off, I paid an extra 20 bucks for the one year unlimited warranty knowing something like this might happen since this...

I don’t really have any past experience with this stuff so I don’t know what I’m looking at but there’s certainly wear marks on the rod bearing. Is that just normal or should I be alarmed

this is from inside the crank case. What do y’all think? Should I still run it for another 20 minutes?
