You only use auto trans fluid with new rings and honed cylinders. It won’t carbon up everything as it burns but will allow just enough lubrication. No need to worry about stuck rings or sticky rings in new pistons.

A little on the rings and cylinder. If you don't have ATF already, then just use some engine oil.
Assembly lube has its place, but you have to be careful using grease-like lube in tight-clearance areas like the rod journal. There's nothing to pump oil into those spaces and push the grease out, so it's posible to obstruct oil flow with it. Greasy assembly lubes are commonly used in engines with full-pressure oil systems and in places that don't get a lot of oil flow anyway like cams and lifters. I'd maybe put some on the pushrod ends, valve ends, and the cam lobes, but would use oil elsewhere.
There's a lot of "overthinking it" going on.
