    Here is an image of your setup. Try and straighten the mount plate as best you can, make sure all 4 bolts are installed in the plate and torqued then use this bearing set to lock in the bearing. https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/NCB39150

    Another thing you could try is disconnect any plugs or connectors then reconnect them. Sometimes a simple disconnect/reconnect fixes these mystery problems. Maybe a pin in a connector isn't completely seated. Worth a shot. A test light is your best friend with problems like this.

    Do you have a 12V test light? Does it crank but not start or does it not crank? Sounds like a pinched or crossed hot wire. Get a test light and start testing for hots where there shouldn't be like a ground wire. Is there any adjustment left on the brake pedal rod? Could be out of adjustment.

    Check for a cracked carb base gasket, could have a vacuum leak causing a lean condition. You may have cracked the intake manifold, the part the carb bolts to. Take it off and check for cracks. https://www.rollingwrenchdenver.com/products/gy6-intake-manifold

    Take the electric choke off of the original carb and put it on the new carb. See what that does. Are your vacuum hoses hooked up correctly?

    These have electric chokes. There is a pintle in the choke that is wide open to let excess fuel into the intake cold starts. As the engine warms up the pintle closes into a bore and reduces fuel flow. If it was working before the carb swap you have something else "effed up." Check what Denny...
