yeah you nailed it.....too darn heavy for clutch, particularly if the motor is over 3 hp. You need a torque converter. 30 series will do up to about 8 hp. Over that you need a 40 series / the chinese ones on amazon are pretty good for the price, but DON"T.......DON'T run a Chinese belt on...

THIS IS MY OPINION.... Most 212 builders use 19 to 24 lb valve springs......36 lb ( in my humble opinion) is way too high. I believe because a 36 lb valve spring is made from a significantly thicker rod material.....that in a 196-212 cc you are experiencing coil bind, and NOT getting full...

Bacon is right......you don.t want to buy cheap E-bay used parts....they'll break and need to be replaced often....that's major aggravation. Buy your parts at the established go Kart suppliers....go power sports...OMB...BMI, and others. Google "Go Kart PARTS" A find one near you if possible...
