Thanks for the comments. I don't have the throttle limited in any way. It runs wide open. He likes to do most of his riding on a mud track , so he spends most of the time running high rpms to drift around the turns. But not really much steep hill climbing.

You need to replace that hose. On the other end, it attaches to the valve cover. Then replace the carb. You can get that on ebay or Amazon for $15. Its just a few bolts and screws. You can get a 2 pack or air filters for less than $10. Problem solved. ---------- Post added at 09:56 PM...

I think Tractor Supply carries some big springs that might work. In the section with gate hinges and springs.

Here is the caliper that I took off my son's Explorer before I sold it. There is a steel rod that comes from the pedal under the frame. The end of the rod hooks to the large spring you see in my pic. If I still had it, I would take a pic of the whole thing assembled.

My son has a Hammerhead GTS 150 and loves to ride in the mud. He has made a huge mud track. But I cant seem to keep mud and out of the cooling fan intake. Even away from mud, it sucks grass and leaves into it and clogs the intake. Do they make some kind of guard for this, or is there some better...

I just bought my son a 13 model Hammerhead GTS 150. With no mods to it, and both of us on it, we got up to 33 on grass. Not too bad since he weighs 150 and I'm 325.

I had checked the vac lines around the carb and didn't see an open end. It had been sitting, so I took the tank off to clean it out. The fuel supply line and vac line were correct. I will have to look at the valve cover again it's hard to see because it's close to the body of the kart. Thanks...

I just bought a 13 model Hammerhead GTS 150 fixer upper. There is a hose that I'm not sure what it is or where to connect it. This is on the driver side.
