Hey, i was wondering if i could use the lawnmowers gearbox and put sprockets on the gearboxs shaft and have the sprockets on the shaft attached with a chain to a sprocket on the drive axle, would it hold up?

ok, i have a 18hp mower engine and im planning on makeing a 6wd kart(not including the front) well i have it planned out the gearing, bearings, frame but having a little trouble thinking of the back suspension and all these little things like shims?? and bushings?? sry but i never used this...

hello, im jd and i live in texas. I got a free riding mower and wanted to make a go kart out of it but i am completely new to karting and my plan is for a ridiculous off road go kart without suspension in the front lol, hope soft tires can take care of that
