You're probably using the wrong pipe for the job. I'm assuming it's a Polaris motor, and the blaster pipes are tuned for too high of an rpm, plus it's a single, the sled's a twin, it'll lose power because a 500 turns about 8 grand

Yeah the sand beads clogged up the filter, cleaned that up and she runs great like you saw, and yes, I love that motor!

With a 12 tooth gear on the clutch (if you can find any) it'll do about 30 mph

I have one. If you look on the right side the carb, you can see a black plastic piece. take that off with some pliers, and a screw will be underneath. That is your air bleed screw. Try turning that in all the way, that might help.
