I only have one wish: That the cylinders I have weren't crappily prepped and coated with industrial chrome plating, but instead NiKaSil or similar. Even DECENT but thick[er] chrome would be godly. I go through cylinders almost monthly ($100/per)

Take in mind THIS scooter in particular is SPINDLE driven. I was giving it gas slowly as hell to prevent slipping (there was close to none when revving slowly, but if I floor it, I'd just either 1) wheelie, or 2) eat away the tire in seconds).

Perhaps you should get an old cylinder bored and sleeved? That'd be errr fun on a 2 stroke but anyways..

25:1, full synthetic... uh... Maxima K2.

The plating just sucks, the GP290 is a Taiwanese clone of the... well... Chung Yang (the ****ty company) tried to beast out Zenoah (Japanese company, first came out with these RC/industrial motors), and overall, CY plating sucks.

To the point people have had brand new cylinders SEIZE when first starting them, LMAO. Yes, they suck that badly.

The potential and power of 46cc will amaze thee.

Just a bad prep of the cylinder I assume, didn't clean all the aluminum oxide formation off before zincating it... maybe only single zincation? Bad chromic acid formulation?

If a 46cc amazes you, you should look into a 80cc moto-x engine. L/C cr/rm/kx/yz 80 motor would be insaine on a scooter, andreally sketchy

Try going to 16:1, if you look at motors that really scream in racing, they usually run heavier than that. Some KT-100 guys that turn 15-16K in bursts run 12:1.

Would 15:1 actually hinder performance from... say 32:1?

In THEORY, I'd actually be running it lean. Less fuel, more oil.
