    Ran once. Won't start now....

It ran three seperate times, so I am crossing my fingers that it is fine. The oil might have finally started running through and the low oil sensor might not be letting it start, now that I think about it..... I didn't even check that cause I was so frustrated trying to start it the last time.

    Ran once. Won't start now....

Well, I will try to do an oil change tomorrow and see if it will start. Hopefully I didn't ruin the engine. I can't figure how to do an oil change without unmounting the the engine and tilting it. There is two oil ports, but they both face at an upward angle. I don't see anything on the bottom...

    Ran once. Won't start now....

Hope I didn't seriously mess anything up. It won't start at all right now. Its gettin dark, so I will drain the oil tomorrow and put 10W30 in it. Is there a way to drain it without having to take the engine back off the go-kart?

I'll double check the box. Will that cause it from runnin from more than a little while at a time? And runnin super hot?

20W50. The exact same oil I use in my bike. Is that bad?

Cjhoward78, yes, its a 212cc predator. And yes, it had blue flame at idle. I let it idle for about 2 min and shut it down to go tinker with other projects. Wife got home 5 min later. went to start it up so she could hear it run, and it won't start again. I did pull the spark plug to check it...

    Ran once. Won't start now....

So... I am lucky!! I think it just overheated. It started on the second pull. BUT..... It is running WAY too hot. There is literally blue flame coming out of the exhaust about every 3 seconds or so. How do I adjust this? I know nothing about this predator engine.

gonna go check for spark and make sure gas is gettin to the cylinder now... I think it has had enough time to cool down. Might give it a pull or two just to see if my luck has changed. lol

    Ran once. Won't start now....

Well, there was no gounding wire that I saw. It is just a pull start. It ran great on the workbench, mounted, started second pull, made couple laps around the house, died. Won't start. This thing has literally 20min of run time on it. Everything looks good, from an external inspection..... Maybe...

    Ran once. Won't start now....

So, I just finished getting my go-kart set up today for me and the kid. Started great on the second pull. We took it for a couple spins around the yard. As we pulled back up to the garage, it died. I figured it ran out of gas, cause I didn't put that much in, but when I checked, it had gas. So...

    Clutch help for a newbie?

I kinda figured thats what it was gonna boil down to, but wanted to consult more experienced minds first. Is the fact that I am missing the two set screws going to present a problem? Obviously its not good, but can I run without them?

    Clutch help for a newbie?

I could probably get it all the way on without the key, there is nothing stopping it, just a really tight fit. The keyway on the PTO starts flat, and curves up to flush on the inside. So for the key to sit flat, it has to be flush with the outside edge of the PTO shaft. And because the keyway...

    Clutch help for a newbie?

Well, unfortunately I bought this secondhand. The clutch seems to be in good condition, as much headache as it's giving me, but I noticed both set screws are missing. :( The key is about 1 5/8" long. Fits perfectly in the PTO shaft. But this means that the clutch itself can only slide halfway...

    Clutch help for a newbie?

So i know the keyway does not go all the way through, I looked at it. The key itself is not integrated. I dropped it enough times to know that for sure. lol. I wish I could post pics, but my phone is not working correctly right now. How short do I cut the key? And how do you cut them little things?

    Clutch help for a newbie?

I just bought a yerf dog and a new 212cc Predator for it. Can't get the max torque clutch on it to save my life. the clutch key seems too long and the crankshaft is much longer that the clutch. I am completely new to this, so maybe I am just making amatuer mistakes. Thanks for any help!
