UPDATE: sold the green one for 20 more than i paid for it, and bought this guy w/5hp briggs non running for 50. probly gonna get it running with the clone on it, while i tear the briggs apart.

yeah. seeing as how i have two of these motors. the one i just pulled, i would like to "fully build" and see what it can do. i also picked up another kart, this one with a live axle, for 50bucks that it may go on. my current running setup up has the brake flapper and doesn't really stop.

got it back up and running. changed the valve springs for the 18lbs. and am glad to say it is pretty quick

put a return spring on it to keep it from running wide open, and put on 92 jet, now no running again. wth?

bolted up air filter setup, and it cranked right up

no. i never opened up any of that

will bolt it back up tomorow. the cam came out when taking off the flywheel, but was put back in at the correct timing spots. valves, and everything up in there was untouched

i pulled the air filter, ect. off to get to the gov. easier. i haven't put anything back on yet. i did press the housing of the butterfly against the carb. the while someone else tried to start it

i tried this with no success yet

what should i check for? could not having the intake bolted up cause this?

i got the governor gear off, put everything back together, and now it won't start. the cam dots are line up, and it actually did start for a second after spraying carb cleaner into the intake. what gives?

me and about 6 other guys at work have karts, or are in the process of getting them, and we just want something to play around on. i just happen to want mine to be a little faster than theirs, thats all

to mount it i aired up the tube inside the tire, sandwiched it inbetween the wheels, lubed up the wheel and edge of tire, then used longer bolts, and tightened them down making the tire go on. do you have an easier way?

it hasn't been for me. i've put the tire in the oven to make it more stretchable, soaped up the rim, and once i got it on there i found out that my buddy put a hole in the tube when he was trying to get it apart. so back off it had to come.
