I'd get that green kart all fixed up and running first, then worry about the other one. Cool steering control setup on it, too.

Yeah, the green kart looks to be in nice shape I wouldn't rob the brakes of it. Those mechanical disk brake systems aren't usually all that great anyway. I'd just get-em both running and decide about upgrading the White karts brakes later.

only thing with the green one is, it is extremely small. to ride it, the steering is between my knees, which are almost in my cheast. i probly won't rob the brakes off the more i think about it. i'll just keep running the white as is, until i find a better frame to transplant the motor onto

I have that same brake setup on a used Electric kart i bought for parts but i thought it might be too weak for a potental 6.5HP engine. Do you think that disk would hold up? My main concerns are the small disk bolts.

perhaps. i gave up on that issue, and am now trying to get the new tire that replaced the one i blew out mounted. its impossible to find someone to mount a tire on a two piece wheel.

it hasn't been for me. i've put the tire in the oven to make it more stretchable, soaped up the rim, and once i got it on there i found out that my buddy put a hole in the tube when he was trying to get it apart. so back off it had to come.

Mounting a tire on a split rim is about as easy as it gets.

to mount it i aired up the tube inside the tire, sandwiched it inbetween the wheels, lubed up the wheel and edge of tire, then used longer bolts, and tightened them down making the tire go on. do you have an easier way?

I see... Yes, if it's cramped, that is a pretty basic problem. To stretch, looks like you'd have to cut and extend 4 bars - right in front of the seat. The cables may be too short then, but it looks like you have a little slack - especially if you'd reroute them down the steering support between your legs. Speaking of which - there are 3 cables. 1 brake, 1 throttle, and it looks like the other was for a shifter. The happyscooter site said it had some kind of 4 speed sequential gearbox on it. Not familiar with that.
What are you going to want to use this kart(s) for? That may help decide which to fix first and what parts to find...
