    Cheap sandblasting.

Don't use sand unless you want to kill your lungs, you can get Silicosis from using regular sand.

My first Reverse Trike, using ATV and Scooter parts.

I have thought about that, and I am not sure its going to be enough, so I did a drawing, to try and figure out how to make the front wider, without modifying the a-arms, as you can see it starts to look a little ridiculous LOL Here is an image of the front end. Here is a drawing of the...

    What makes a good welder?

I have a Miller Thunderbolt XL 225 stick welder, I can leave it on 90 amps and weld all day with it, and that's great for stuff around 1/8th inch and thicker, but for thin stuff like ATV / bike frames, you honestly need a wire welder, I am very likely going for a Miller Millermatic 211.

there was a doodle bug at my local HF. is that normal?

I went to a local Sears and they had two for sale, at $299, LOL, the ones at Sears, the seat was almost as high off the ground as my knee, I hope they make them larger than that.

My first Reverse Trike, using ATV and Scooter parts.

Got the throttle cable replaced, the new one feels 100% better, and I even got the brakes fixed :wai: I did some more Google searching, on bleeding the brakes, and found some people recommending the use of an oil squirt can hooked up to the bleed nipple, and putting brake fluid in the...

My first Reverse Trike, using ATV and Scooter parts.

I got an old plastic tractor gas tank, and strapped it behind the seat on the scooter's luggage rack mount, basically the gas tank was above the carburetor, and the trike started right up, no problems. I tried to bleed the brakes, and was never able to, I kept getting air from somewhere, I...

My first Reverse Trike, using ATV and Scooter parts.

I did some more Google searching, and found out that the small round fuel pump / petcock that was on the scooter originally, was made for a gas tank that is higher than the carburetor, gravity feed. I now have the tank lower than the carburetor, so I need a better fuel pump, apparently people...

My first Reverse Trike, using ATV and Scooter parts.

Oh, OK, I was thinking you were talking about the starting problem LOL I have not had a chance to ride it after I lowered the seat, but sitting on it with the seat installed feels a little better, but I may have to lower the handle bars now. BTW I went on eBay and found most of the parts for...

My first Reverse Trike, using ATV and Scooter parts.

Are you thinking that the carburetor is not setting just right and that by weighing down the front end the carburetor will level out ?

My first Reverse Trike, using ATV and Scooter parts.

I did not get much done today despite working on the scooter just about all day  I installed the new brake master cylinder, but was unable to ever get it to work no matter how many times or ways I tried bleeding the brakes, and the oil I did recover looked nasty, BTW the brakes did...

My first Reverse Trike, using ATV and Scooter parts.

Thanks! I never even thought about moving the shock mounts, that is good idea. I had some time today, and finished lowering the seat mount, I also got a new brake master cylinder in the mail Saturday, so tomorrow I plan on fixing the brakes and doing a little test drive :auto: Here it is...

    Public Roads

LOL yea I have done that to, around here were I live in the woods, we have gravel roads, police will not stop ATVs, buggys, or tractors, on the gravel roads, but paved is different, I have ridden a tractor to a local gas station a few miles away, on a paved road, more than a few times, but I...

Any good online sites for go karts?

When get done with it, its going out in the mud and trails, I am actually making it to be use in the place of an ATV, and modifying it to only have one seat and be slightly longer because I am just at 6 foot tall, I can fix or work around a few errors in the Granddaddy plans if need be, if...

Any good online sites for go karts?

I happen to have one of the GY6 150cc clones, from a 2008 scooter, that was wrecked, and sit outside for years, I put a small amount of oil down the spark plug hole, cleaned the bad gas out of the carburetor, changed the oil, and it started right up, it has a fair amount of power, feels like...

My first Reverse Trike, using ATV and Scooter parts.

I never even thought about that, but the most I could lower the seat would be about 4 inches, and that would place the seat about 1 inch above the motor, I believe its doable, and it may help some, but I don't think its going to fix the problem entirely, I think I will try anyway, it seems...

My first Reverse Trike, using ATV and Scooter parts.

I have thought about extending the A-arms, but from my Google searches most say that's a bad idea, also on my trike the A-arms are an odd shape, and it would not be an easy job. The only other option is to widen the frame that sits between the A-arms, that's going to be a lot of work. Here...

My first Reverse Trike, using ATV and Scooter parts.

The way the scooter wheel is attached, its directly bolted to the shaft that's coming out of the motor, there is no way to drive two wheels, unless I figure out a some kind of sprocket that will fit that shaft and something to support the the other end of that long shaft. That motor is used...

My first Reverse Trike, using ATV and Scooter parts.

It's OK going in a strait line, but turns are pretty bad, I ether have to slow down to maybe 5mph, or I am limited to very subtle turns, otherwise I end up on two wheels if not turned over, also right now a garden tractor at the same speeds has 100% better steering with sharpener turns. If I...

My first Reverse Trike, using ATV and Scooter parts.

I am starting to think along the lines of motorcycle training wheels, but with a-arms and shocks, so I guess it would be a 5 wheeler LOL I am going to do some more web searching, and try to figure out a way of fixing the stability problem.

My first Reverse Trike, using ATV and Scooter parts.

It had a small white fuel filter, and I replaced it with a larger see-threw garden tractor fuel filter, I can see fuel spurting into it, but not with much power, BTW I just finished recharging battery, and to test it, I tried starting and it started right up, and I let it run a few minutes...
