It's been about 6 months since I've been here. Did I miss anything?

    Non hemi predator existence?

Ok, long story short, engine on my mini bike was loosing power and ticking. Drained the oil, and it looked like a black metallic paint job, but with more metallic than black. The rod is out of round by 5 thousandths, and oil clearance is now 7 thousandths (according to my caliper). Also the cam...

Four wheelers are fun. The 4wd ones actually ride pretty rough. You should try a sport quad, bigger engine + less power loss + sequential manual transmission = more fun. I’ve been riding an 04 Yamaha Raptor 660 for a few years. In third gear, it’ll pull the front tires off the ground and keep...

    F-150 Project (ish)

Yeah, the 351’s a good engine. They also have plenty of room to be bored and stroked, up to a 4.125 bore and 4.17 stroke with the right block (FYI that equals a 454). 950speed, mine’s an XLT Lariat. Top of the line in it’s day.

Well I’ve had a productive quarantine. I got my truck running, built most of a bike ramp, got an old bike of mine going again, and built a garden. And you can tell that we’ve been quarantined for a while, my squash has squash on it, and the story’s the same for my cucumbers, watermelon and...

    F-150 Project (ish)

Well I’ve made some discoveries. I got the engine to run (it needed a fuel pump and new lines). It took a half quart of power steering fluid and a gallon of atf (it still needs a quart or two). And it’s the front brakes that aren’t working. The flexible lines are rotted out, so it needs new...

Mikuni carburetor No need to remove the governor!

Did he say that it disengages the governor? There is no way to disengage the governor other than pulling it. It's a plastic gear that's spun by another gear on the crank. Both are in a fixed location, so they cannot disengage. when you route the throttle cable directly to the governor arm, it...

    F-150 Project (ish)

I picked up the fuel pump yesterday from the parts store. It was $21.29 with tax. So hopefully once I put it on, the truck'll run. It might need a carb clean, but I'm hoping it doesn't. Also, do you know of a way to block off the back brakes to just use the front? The brake lines are just about...

So what is a go cart?

You're right. I could have sworn seatbelts were on that list, but they aren't.

So what is a go cart?

Ah, in that case I'd consider a gokart to be anything with a central structural component, propulsion module, 4 circular rolling devices to aid in movement, and a directional control system (seating is optional, but recommended), and also functioning movement inhibitors and occupant restraints...

Kartorbust, it's funny you would say that it's the "new Bedrock edition." Pretty much Bedrock Edition is a renamed Pocket Edition, which I've been playing since version 0.1.2 Alpha (Released November 2011). Back then there was no crafting system and only basic blocks and tools. And landuse, I...

    Quick Bits

I just found out that, as of tomorrow night, we're under stay at home orders. Good news is, the auto parts store is listed as an essential business, so if I have to, I'll still be able to get a fuel pump and fuel line.

    Connecting rod bolt question

I don't see any problem with it. I reused the stock rod bolts when I rebuilt the engine on my minibike 2 years ago. Haven't had any problems with it, even at ungoverned rpm.

    Epic Kart Pics

Not sure if it counts, but here's a pretty good pic of my minibike. This was taken just as a storm front was coming through.

    F-150 Project (ish)

I'll stick with the mechanical. It's $19.95 at the parts store and the holley is $50. Plus,I'm not exactly sure what I'd wire it to. There isn't much of an electrical system (there are 18 fuse positions in the fuse box, and 5 of them aren't used at all, another two aren't used on this truck, and...

I do have a pellet gun, but it kinda sucks. At 50 feet, it's got about a 9 inch wide grouping at best. I can beat that with a bow. But I like the tin on my garage to be free of holes, so I'll probably just put a board up there to keep them out.

    Newbie - Torque Converter Question

Oh yeah, that's got to be the worst alignment I've ever seen. You'll probably have to cut down the spacer behind the driven pulley (the one on the jackshaft). Could you get a pic looking at the pulley and jackshaft from behind the engine (looking forward) so we can see how much the pulley can be...

    F-150 Project (ish)

Do you think you could explain that post, I'm not sure what you mean. Well, I had an eventful weekend. I got a new battery for the truck, and got it to turn over. I also discovered that the fuel pump is bad, so I'm going to need a new one. I might replace the fuel line too. But the really big...

Speaking of critters, I've had a few run ins with some lately. There's been either a squirrel or a bird that keeps dragging moss into my garage, and trying to build a nest on one of the shelves above my garage door. This shelf happens to also be over where I park my drifter, so my seat keeps...

    new member introduction

Welcome to the forum. You've got some nice projects. I especially like the blue Manco, and those Baja's aren't bad either. And what's the story behind the C10?
