I already tested that with a couple of sprockets close to each other and draping a 41 chain over then rotating. I think it will work out.

I've been busy with fall projects, repairs on my trucks, getting rid of crap and last but not least having Lymes disease for over 25 years. It will probably be after the snow flies when I get back to it.

Hopefully not any time soon. I have too much to do before that happens.

I have over $300 into just the Comet gearbox & many sprockets so there is no turning back now. The 3 sprockets on the drive axle are #41 from Northern Tool.

Well I don't have the $$$ to put disc brakes on all 4 axle shafts that are hardened. 41 chain I think will hold up well for a long time.

My project is a 4wd & 4ws pedal powered cart. I doubt I will ever get it up to 20mph.

I do now have 60, 48, 40, 30, 20 and 10 tooth #41 sprockets. I'm a little low on $$ today so I will have to wait to buy 2 or 3 sprocket holders for a 1" shaft. I will have nuts or washers between the sprockets so the chain will clear the next larger sprocket, but yet not fall between them.
