I'm looking to put a TAV2 30 on my Coyote. Does anyone have the measurement from the crank case to the end of the shaft bolt? I need to see how far the pulley sticks out from the engine. Might have a clearance issue with the seat.
Also. How do I figure out what size sprockets I need to run?
Could you check to see what compound tires you are using for practice? Just curious. Seems like many of you racers practice with harder tires and race with soft.
These particular ones that I have a MMXA.
"The ‘MMX-A’ is based off of Hoosier’s R60A (medium)
sprint kart compound, which is designed for 125cc
TAG and Shifter karts. The ‘MMX-A’ will have simila
r feedback and response to the R60A, but the
compound has been slightly...
Thanks for your help guys. I ended up just purchasing all new hubs, wheels, axles and hardware. Everything is like new again. The 80's stuff wasnt compatible with the newer equip.
I just installed Hoosier 11x7.1-5 tires on the rear of our kart. These things grip so well that it almost tips if you corner too hard. They're also super sticky so they pick up alot of sand/pebbles when they heat up and fling them like bullets. I'm in need of some harder compound tires that...
My Predator 212 engine sits at an angle when mounted to the frame. Looks like maybe a 15* or 20* degree angle. When I check the oil I put a level on the gas tank and raise up the front to level it out. With the angle it sits at, is this really healthy for an engine like this? Should I add a...
I just pulled my stock airbox and ran the engine without it. It looks like that fitting coming off the valve cover would be a great lead to run a fuel pump off of. Look at some of the pics online of what other guys have done.
I currently have 5 inch wheels on my Coyote Bullet. What are the advantages/disadvantages of going with a 6 inch wheel? I mainly use this on the street or parking lot so a little extra clearance would help.
Just wondering... I'm rebuilding the rear end of our Coyote. Its time to put everything back on the axle. Is there a proper way as to how the sprocket, brake rotor, and bearings go on? Example: do the set screws on the bearings face the inner or outer part of the axle? I'm thinking of just...
Thanks Ander. I believe what you explained is the case here. The bolts are spaced 2.75" apart on these hubs. I just bought new hubs to go along with these Douglas wheels. BMI said the new hubs and the Douglas rims will be a perfect fit.
This project was suppose to be just a bearing replace...
I just took delivery of some new Douglas alum wheels, 6061 blue label series wheels, US pattern. Got them from BMI. These dont fit my existing hubs. The cart is a mid 80's Coyote Bullet with a 1 1/4 axle. Im not at home to measure but I believe the hubs have a 3" bolt spacing. These new...
