Once I get this on the road and going i'll pull the two cycle techumseh from the snowblower and put it in the other frame. I'll be hittin' you all up...

    Quick question

thanks mckutzy, hope you find your clutch oddball, this place is motivating me to get this kart going. I got the flywheels off and switched and now need to know the secret to removing clutch shoes or is it just more force? I started this...

    Tiny kArt Build

So I bought a gx31 honda engine but it had a 3" clutch and the gearbox on the clone has a 2" I was able to switch flywheels and flywheel covers so now I can bolt the ever so slightly larger displacement honda engine into this kart. My question is; how do I get the clutch shoes off? Is there a...

Pulled the gas tank, engine and awesome open pipe! (slips over the little box muffler really...). Paddle controls behind the steering wheel could use some more travel/action.

Here is what I have to work with so far. I have some pics in an album on my profile page but here are some more. This is just a toy for my kid to tool around the neighborhood. The chonda gx26 fits tight in the frame and hopefully the gx31 will too. Not a lot of power but that's not important...

    Quick question

what should I look for when I pull the flywheel off a gx31 Honda and a donor clone gx2? are they keyed, is there a timing mark, is it just the 14mm nut? should I start a build thread here? pilsner or ipa? so many questions...

these are the two trannys; the 2" clutch has the engine mount with it and as you can see its a tiny #25(?) chain. the clone flywheel looks smaller in the photo; it measures the same diameter. never pulled a flywheel; any hints?

thanks jim. the frames are really well designed but only made of 3/4" tubing but the spindles disc brakes and steering linkage is pretty tight. the problem with the tranny is that the original which integrates an engine mount has a 2" clutch while the gx31 engine i have is a 3" clutch. think i...

thanks, i put some pics in an album on my profile page. i bought the 3hp engine with the hope of a kart or mini bike but the plan is to get something tame to get my daughter in and my wife comfortable with the idea before we ramp it up. the frame is small and she'll outgrow it tomorrow but for...

Hi all, r.mac from co here. Trying to put together a kart from stuff I picked up off craigs. Got two little karts that were sold by Costco with Chinese gx21 4strokes. One in parts and one runs poorly, smokes like a fiend. Rear discs, paddle controls, too small for my eleven year old with all the...
