I need some help here. This is a fairly new buggy. All of a sudden while the kids were riding it is slowed down to a crawl. Now it barely moves when the gas is applied. When flooring the gas, the engine seems to sputter and bog down.

I looked at adjusting fwd/rev cables with no success. Still does the same thing. I am new to go karts, just looking for advice.

I'm new here too but try these:
1. everyone will tell you to intro post
2. posts without pics waste everyones time
3. adjust things as a last result
4. make sure your choke is open

Are there any modifications anything changed too it?

I am the first owner and the cart is about a month old. Everything is stock on it. It barely moves forward now when the gas is floored. It seems to move better in reverse. I'll try to link a video of it. Looking at other posts, it could be the clutch, carberator, or even muffler. My kids were riding it when it happened and said heard nothing.

Okay, can it move freely with engine off( just to make sure park brake or calipers are not sticking)?

You do have a fuel filter right? Just to make sure no junk in carb.
Start there before you tear into this new buggy? Then call tomorow to explain problem to dealer.

The cart moves freely in neutral. I did have some black residue in the fuel filter. Looked like residue from the gas tank, probably from the mfg. Dumped gas and refilled it.

drain and empty tank, clean with more gas, drain, add new filter and try again. Hopefully filter caught it all and it didn't get to carb.
But it sounds like it didnt though. If still no workie then clean carb.
