i was a grinder in a fab shop many years ago and very true you can judge a weld by what grinding is needed. fortunately the welders in that shop where very good and made my job easy.

no do not have any tools for bending. at one time i did have a decent shop but had to sell everything. now trying to get something going again but this time on a much tighter budget.
never have done any kind of tube bending. other than conduit.
have been looking at the weldcity stuff to. there is a guy on youtube and he claims for a ac welder you lose more wire to splatter than with the harbor freight single pass. he also gets beautiful welds with his harbor freight 90amp.

don't mind putting in the time but don't want to go broke trying it. would love to to do it though just have never messed with small engines before.
