I'm building a kart out of a lawn tractor. Using the 6 speed transmission. I only need it to go walking speed , but with enough TQ to make it up a 25* or so incline for 1000 feet. The transmission is 9-1 in 6th gear and 30-1 in 1st. The batteries are 12v 20ahr each

I installed my Torque-a-verter TAV2 on a Robin EX21 engine. I noticed the outert hub on the crank shaft only slides on a little less than a 1/2 inch. I could machine it down .70 and it would give me exactly 1/2 inch if I needed. How much is good or not good? This part is the part...

What kind of performance gain did you get? I just took apart my TAV2 for the new engine and the gears look real pointy. I'm guessing thats a sign of wear.

The 13hp won't work with tha TAV I have. How do you make one? I would like it to just hook up to a batt and charge.

Thanks. This stinks though. I was leaning to the second one and spending the extra cash. It also has a easy hookup for the throttle too. The more researching I do I'm finding out it's not made anymore and I can't find a similar engine:furious2:
