go to briggs and strattons website they have a whole thing on engine identification and downloadale pdf's for part numbers. You should then be able to go to any lawnmower parts store and order whatever you need. That definitely looks like a briggs and stratton 5 hp motor

Lol i'm sorry but are you serious? There's comet 40 series all over the internet, and they are rated for 8-18hp: 1" crankshaft diameter. i have a 40 series on my 11 hp briggs. They're A little pricey but it's worth it. I bought mine about 2 months ago from gokartsupply.com
