Yep it was 430ci, awesome car!

Those old Lincoln's came factory equipped with a large Muffler plus a smaller Resonator that was basically a secondary muffler. That cars exhaust was ultra-quiet without being overly restrictive.

So keep in mind you guys could always Install dual mufflers 'in-line' as another super quiet go kart exhaust system option.

so the stock exhaust are jus empty boxes pretty much?

so....2 little silencers would make it pretty quiet? any sound clips?

Nope, finally sold it back in 85. The cops showed up at our door a month later claiming the car had been used in a major crime, good thing dad had sent notification into DMV that he'd sold it.

Yeah it was an awesome car. In 1975 I drove that car/towed a large travel trailer 8000 miles all over the US on our family vacation when I was 15 and only had my drivers permit.

Did you know the power steering pump was built into the inside of the timing cover on those old 430's?

yeah, i even tried the thing you use to remove your oil filter on your car that tightens as you try to turn it more. It's perfect because its circular but it doesn't budge
