Spring tensioner, like what is already found on a riding mower, going to be a little tricky rigging it but thats the only one I could think of, also I cant shift when moving since the axle is directly connected to the tranny and the tranny can't be spinning.

I'm building a go kart with a riding mower engine in it. I have a 5 speed tranny and I need help coming up with a clutch to keep it from moving when I start it.

ok i found a 21x9-8 and im assuming those would work on the wheels i listed, but do i need tubes even though they say tubeless? i mean, isnt that what keeps the tire inflated? Do the tubes have to be the same size as the tire? i have only found 18x850/950-8 and 22x1100-8

ok, because i heard that the gearbox wasnt very strong, but im guessing thats when you use just that and put wheels on it.

Hey, i was wondering if i could use the lawnmowers gearbox and put sprockets on the gearboxs shaft and have the sprockets on the shaft attached with a chain to a sprocket on the drive axle, would it hold up?
