Wide off road tyres and wheels size:
145/70-6 (14 tall, 5.7" wide
Heavy duty steel rims and 4 stud bolt pattern.

Those tires and rims aren't very big in the typical fun kart scheme of things. They should be fine and knobby tires are usually easier to source than slicks or ribbed. What could matter is if the tire profile at max inflation presents a square/flat profile or if it is rounded like a bicycle tire. *Rolling resistance.

If you intend to have the kart driven in deep sand, loose dirt and the like, that changes things a little, like Panchothedog said in post #18.

No the tiers are just a little bigger and have paddles. Also, I have an extra two baring in the middle with a three speed transmission that I machined

We encourage everyone here to make their own threads for their own builds/own projects. If you would do that and add photos galore, that would please a great many gearheads here who want to see what you got.

In other words, pics or it didn't happen!

Ok more pics, you can see the laser line is horizontal with the front bottom timber and now got to do the back so everything sits level i.e, axle wheels, subframe and ground.

I've watched many YouTube videos but not come across this one. Pretty good. It doesn't show the build bit though. Never the less it was good to watch. 👍
Hey talisman,

Just click on the (blue) thread (below the video)
...& it will "take you to" the build thread

Here is another unique electric kart that I designed & built, that may be of interest
...& this one ain't SI (Super Intelligence) :cornut:

It is electrically powered
...AWD (all wheel drive) motivated
...& has articulating (bends in the middle) steering :2guns:
Here is the build thread

Hey guys I’m sorry for “hijaking” the thread but the red go cart with the torque converter is real it’s for a stem project I had to do and I got lots of evidence from here. How is it?
