There's a formula to adjust to a lower setting or you put the torque wrench 90⁰ to the adapter and the amount does not change. If the amount is 180ft/lbs, you drop it to 155ft/lbs and you'll achieve the torque spec. Since the cylinders get torque to either 15ft/lbs (I think have to look it up again) or 13ft/lbs, long as I have room, should be fine.

Cylinder hone showed up yesterday. Any recommendations for a honing oil? Evidently the company I got the hone from, also has like a 1 gallon jug of their own oil for sale on Amazon. Thing is, I may need like maybe a quart to a half gallon tops to do both cylinders.

Buy it, unless it’s redickerously expensive. Buy it anyway. Otherwise, seen people using any oil even WD.

When I worked for Buick I would use ATF in a squirter oil can. You don’t need to soak it just keep it wet. Soak the stones for a half a day or so before you use the hone.

Soaking the stones is next level brainery. Nice one, Denny. Same for the ball hones as well or are those not recommended? I was trying to think of ATF (it’s like the perfect consistency too).

Surprisingly, unless I go to maybe Tractor Supply or possibly Wal-Mart, Kerosene is not very common out here. In Minnesota, Fleet Farm had at least 1 pump, maybe 2 where you could fill up a can with Kerosene. Out here in Nebraska, haven't seen anything.

Will keep it in mind though. I might have 1 bottle of Mercon LV sitting in the garage, not open.

Lamp oil is kerosine also, and you get a nice citronella scent. Here on the left coast even hardware stores carry it. #1 diesel is the same stuff purdy much.
Smoking while honing is not recommended.
