Oh no!

I have too many interests and when I found out they make affordable, real 4-wheel drive, RC vehicles with scale details I started buying a few.... but only a few from FMS/Rochobby/EazyRC.

I have the 1/18 Rochobby Fire Horse (an unlicensed Jeep Wrangler Unlimited) and the FMS 1/12 Willys MB (the WWII Army Jeep). The detail is unreal on the Willys because it is super scale and even has metal leaf spring suspension. Just a wonderful replica, 4x4, 2 speed transmission, lights and the steering wheel turns like a ghost is driving it.

We call them 1:18 or 1/18 not that abomination you titled the thread with! 😂
Pictures or you’re lying!

😅 took this long to catch it,I never noticed.

The small rc shop here,he has a bunch of small trucks that are all metal with working doors and hoods etc...they are cool.
He says they are more for looks than performance
Playing last Sunday after making a rock garden with tilled up rocks

That little driver must be a moron, don’t he know he could move over a little and drive on a road without those huge rocks in his way?

I've seen some videos online of these small rockcrawlers and offroaders awhile ago. Seems like such a fun affordable hobby! I was very into to RC's back in the day. Had a few RC10 Gt gas ones. What does one these cost to get into it? A basic starter that I could modify as I go? I want to build a course in my yard now!!! lol

It's a total mindblower that you can get a slow crawler with full time 4-wheel drive and a detailed hardbody at the same time (instead of a bubble body lexan shell).

I had a 1/10 Kyosho Outlaw Rampage back in the day, a .12 nitro engined stadium truck (2wd) that was fun. Didn't require a butt-ton of accessories, just a glow plug igniter and it had its own pull start. Anyway...

Check out turksandjerps on YT. His backyard crawler course is a work of art and a real mini ecosystem. He did it in 1/10 scale or thereabouts but the smaller trucks look best on it. He does a lot of different scale crawlers too....

Depends on what you want or what scale....

ok thanks!

I had the .10 engines I think. The were RC10gt stadium trucks, glo plur igniter type also. I remeber having $700 into one of them in the late 1990's. There was an outdoor offroad race track we would go to. Had power outlets for the battery guys back then and everything. The memories are coming back.............

I got outbid on an rc10gt by a 1$ and ended up with an XXX-NT as my first rc.. I went absolutely crazy with aluminum and a 20v max6 swap.... Then I got ahold of a traxxas bandit and in true partsguy fashion found out 70% of the nitro losi parts fit the bandit. So I went a bit off the wall and built a wide kit bandit. after building both of them I went insane hunting metal for another xxxnt... I found all the metal but I have yet to find another truck for it all... so now I have this massive bag of old nitro losi parts just waiting.98C72DD6-11FF-4FC1-B487-E48B3009C9BC.pngD445F515-4817-4CFF-BD8D-B383177E0CB2.jpeg3C834B89-3EAF-4FCB-B6A8-1F8CD384A2F4.jpeg19445CCB-3E33-4257-BD71-4774229729AB.jpeg

Man, I sold my RC10GT's probably 20 years ago for car audio amps and speakers. HAHA! I had a electric Losi roller sitting in my garage for years and gave it away last year to a friends friend. Now I'm getting the RC itch again. My problem is, when I get into something, I REALLY get into it! lol.

Well, just ordered my first mini crawler. Ended up going with the EazyRc Patriot. Watched a bunch of review videos, and for 100 doll hairs, seemed like a no brainer for a first try at this. Should arrive tomorrow. Ordered an extra battery as well.

Bro, this is going to become my new obsession! I can't believe I didn't know of these RC's sooner. I even found a local coarse within 4 miles of me. I can't wait for this thing to show up tomorrow! I'm going all in. lol.

You can make one in your backyard too, and drive without driving!

It pulls you in hard. and there is no bottom to the rabbithole... word of advice your new rig might come with wheel “bushings” not bearings. don’t even run the bushings if that is the case! you might find bearings that press in as an upgrade. and if you don’t upgrade the bushing housing wrecks itself. and the wheel slop takes out whatever and it spirals... again this Rabbit was on a mission... almost dug a hole straight to the core..
